The "walled city" was built in 1571 by the Spaniards for the Spanish elite and Mestizos.  Now, it is one of the most-visited tourist attraction in Manila.  While in Intramuros, walk around and visit other notable attractions such as Fort Santiago, the San Agustin Church and Museum, Rizal Shrine and the Casa Manila museum.

While you're there, savor some authentic Filipino delicacies such as "taho", "isaw", "qwek-qwek", and fish balls.  Also, stop by the "Beach House Canteen" for some delicious pork barbecue.
